How to play

The objective of LIVE BACCARAT is to get a two or three card hand whose total is 9 or as close to 9 as possible.

The game is played with eight standard 52-card decks (Jokers are excluded). Card values are as follows:

Aces are the lowest card and is worth 1 point.

Cards from 2 to 9 are worth their face value.

10s and face cards (Jacks, Queens and Kings) are worth 0.

All that matters in Baccarat is the numeric value of the card, the suit is irrelevant - hearts, spade, clubs and diamonds are all same.

The game is hosted by a dealer.

There are two participants in the game - the Player and the Banker. Prior to each deal, you select to bet on whether the Player or the Banker hand will be closest to a total of 9. You can also bet on Tie, when both hands total the same.

Once the allotted betting time has expired, the dealer deals two cards to both the Player and Banker. The value of the each hand is displayed next to the cards.

When the Player and Banker hands equal the same total, the hand is a Tie and all bets (other than Tie bets) are voided.

Hand value is calculated by dropping the tens digit of the hand worth 11 or more. For example, a 7 and a 9 will be worth 6 (because 16-10=6), 5+5+5=15=5 or 10+9=’Natural’ 9.

If the value of the cards in either the Player Hand or the Banker Hand is an 8 or a 9 (a ’Natural’) after receiving their initial two cards,  no more cards are dealt to either hand.

If the value of the cards in either hand on the first two cards is 0 to 7 inclusive, the hands draw in accordance with the ‘Third Card Rule’, that determines if a third card is to be dealt. No hand receives more than three cards.

The Player always goes first. If the Player's two cards total is:

0-5 the Player hand must draw

6-7 the Player hand must stand

8-9 ’Natural’ both hands stand.

If the Banker's two cards total is:

0-2 the Banker hand must draw

3-6 third card to Player's hand determines draw or stand

7 the Banker hand must stand

8-9 ’Natural’ both hands stand.

When the Banker's third card decision depends on the third card drawn by the Player, the following rules apply:

Banker Hand Banker Hand draws

when Player's third card is: Banker Hand stands

when Player's third card is:

3 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 0 8

4 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 0, 1, 8, 9

5 4, 5, 6, 7 0, 1, 2, 3, 8, 9

6 6, 7 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9

If the Player's hand stands on two cards (6,7), then a two card Banker hand totaling 3,4,5 must draw and a Banker hand totaling 6 must stand.

Whoever gets the total closest to nine wins.

You can play a PAIRS version of Baccarat with two additional betting options, by tapping PAIRS button.

In Pairs you can bet on the Player getting a pair or the Banker getting a pair.

A winning bet on the Player hand pays 1 to 1.

A winning bet on the Banker hand pays 1 to 1 minus 5% commission to the House.

A winning bet on a Tie pays 8 to 1.

A winning bet on a Player pair pays 11 to 1.

A winning bet on a Banker pair pays 11 to 1.

Please note that any malfunction voids the game round and all eventual payouts for the round.

Each available game table is displayed in the LIVE GAMES MENU by a separate table icon.

The  dealer name and photo is displayed, with list of all players at the table shown underneath. Bet limits for the table are also displayed.

To join a specific table, simply tap the icon for that table.

When you have chosen a table, tap the PLAY button to begin viewing the live game stream.

Note that the game screen will automatically adapt to the horizontal or vertical position in which you hold your device.

The BET LIMITS sign shows the minimum and maximum stakes permitted. Tapping on the sign will show a breakdown of these limits if applicable.

To participate in the round, you must have sufficient funds to cover your bet. The BALANCE indicator will always be displayed on the bottom left of the games and LIVE GAMES MENU button.

The Game Information Indicator TRAFFIC LIGHTS will inform you of the game status, when you bet, how much you have won, etc.

At the top of this display are three lights, Green, Amber (Yellow) and Red. These 'traffic lights' inform you when you can bet (GREEN LIGHT), when the betting time is nearly over (YELLOW LIGHT) and when the betting time has finished (RED LIGHT). You will find this indicator in all live games.

The CHIP DISPLAY is where you can select the value of each chip you wish to bet with.

Once selected place you bet by simply tapping the Player, Banker or Tie betting spots on the game table. Each time you tap the betting spot the value of the bet will be increased.

This display will only be illuminated and usable whilst betting time is in the GREEN or YELLOW state. Once bets are closed (RED LIGHT) then the chips are turned off and cannot be selected. Only chip values that are usable (i.e. available within your balance) are illuminated.

The UNDO button, when tapped, will remove the last bet placed.

By repeatedly tapping the Undo button, it will remove bets one by one in the reverse order they were placed.

All bets are cleared from the table when you hold the button for approximately 3 seconds. This will only happen during GREEN or YELLOW betting time. Once bets are closed (RED LIGHT) you will not be able to cancel bets.

The REPEAT button allows you to repeat the same bet(s) from the previous game.

Once you have tapped Repeat, the button will change to Double (2X), allowing you to double the bet from the previous game.

The TOTAL BET indicator will always be displayed on the bottom left of the games. This shows the current total of all bets made for the current game.

The CHAT BOX on the right of the screen allows you to chat with dealer. Tapping on the field for typing messages will display a virtual keyboard. Keyboard disappears when the chat message is sent.

The SCORE TABLE shows your scores.

BIG ROAD, BIG EYE BOY, SMALL ROAD and COCKROACH ROAD are straight score cards. In general, straight score cards allow you to see Baccarat streaks and Baccarat trends for either the Player or the Banker. Wins of the same side and ties are shown in one column. Whenever the other side wins, a new column is started. Ties do not break a column because non-tie bets are returned to the player. So, if a tie occurs, you do not lose any money.

Each score card marks the game results using a different pattern. More specifically, the difference lies in the starting point and the results marked. Each player can choose their favourite score card. A new score card is started with each shoe change. The symbols on the score cards signify the following :

Red circle - the Banker won the round.

Blue circle - the Player won the round.

Green slash - the round ended in a Tie.

Each game round is identified by a unique GAME NUMBER that is displayed in the lower left corner of your screen.

This number reflects when the round began in terms of GMT by hour: minute: second. Please use this game number for reference (or take a screenshot of the game number) if you wish to contact Customer Service regarding a particular round.

If there is an error in the gambling system,  the game is paused, and a dealer notifies a Shift Manager. The Shift Manager checks the game and corrects the error if possible - in which case the game continues and ends as normal. If it is not possible to correct the error, the game is cancelled by the Shift Manager and all initial bets are refunded to players.

Game-play continues until the cut card is dealt. If the cut card is dealt between the games, an additional game round is played after. Subsequently, the cards are shuffled by either a dealer or a shuffler - depending on availability of a shuffling table.

If no shuffling table is available, the dealer shuffles all the cards at the game table.

If a shuffle table is available, then two shoes with two sets of playing cards are used at the table. In this case, the dealer swaps the shoes, and the shuffle is made by a shuffler at the shuffling table whilst the dealer is continuing the game-play.

The LIVE GAMES MENU button can be selected at any time from any game.

The game can be cancelled:

If a software issue takes place and it can not be resolved

If the bets are accepted and the game delayed for more than 5 minutes due to dealer or due to hardware issue.
